    Cupro-nickel C71000 is the 80 Cu / 20 Ni alloy per ASTM F467 - good seawater + ammoniacal corrosion resistance, moderate strength (tensile 47-75 ksi). The lower-Ni cupro-nickel option for marine nut where cost matters more than ultimate corrosion performance.

    How does C71000 compare to C71500 (70/30)?

    C71500 (70 Cu / 30 Ni) has better corrosion + erosion resistance, especially in higher-velocity seawater + ammoniacal condenser water. C71000 is the lower-cost option for routine marine nut applications. C71500 is the heat-exchanger + condenser fastener spec.
