Thin hexagon nuts designed according to ISO 4035 standards for compact fastening applications.
ISO 4035 Hexagon Thin Nuts are specifically designed for applications where reduced nut height and lightweight fastening solutions are required. These thin hex nuts are commonly used in compact mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, lightweight equipment, and space-limited industrial applications.

ASTM F467-13ε2 Table 1 lists 35 wrought alloys: 16 copper-base (C11000, C26000, C27000, C46200, C46400, C51000, C61300, C61400, C63000, C64200, C65100, C65500, C66100, C67500, C71000, C71500), 8 nickel-base (N10001, N10276, N04400, N04405, N05500, N06059, N06625, N06686), 3 aluminum-base (A92024, A96061, A96262) and 8 titanium (R50250, R50400, R50700, R56400, R56401, R52400, R58640, R55111). Table 2 gives hardness, proof stress and marking for each; alloys 59 and 686 have four strength grades and alloy 625 has two.
ASTM F467 is the inch-pound specification: unless otherwise specified, nut dimensions are to ASME B18.2.2 and threads Class 2B to ASME B1.1 (7.1, 7.2). Metric nuts are covered by the companion specification F467M (F467 Note 1). ISO 4035 dimensions apply when the order specifies them.
Nuts are tested in full section (12.2.1) and hardness is taken on the top or bottom face (12.2.2) to ASTM E18 or E92: one reading for 1/4 to 7/16 in., the average of four readings 90 degrees apart for 1/2 in. and larger (13.2.2). Where both proof load and hardness are tested, proof load governs acceptance (6.2). A lot is up to 100 000 nuts of one type, alloy and temper, diameter and thread series (9.1). Sample size by lot: 50 and under, 2; 51 to 500, 3; 501 to 35 000, 5; 35 001 to 100 000, 8; acceptance number 0, rejection number 1 (10.1).
Every nut is marked with the manufacturer's symbol and the alloy/mechanical property marking from Table 2, raised or depressed (17.1), for example F 467C for naval brass 462 or F 467U for Ni-Cu alloy 400. Each shipping unit is marked with the ASTM designation, alloy number, property marking, size, manufacturer, number of pieces, country of origin and purchase order number (17.3).
