## Scope (F467-13ε2)

- Diameters 0.250 to 1.500 in. inclusive (1.1); inch-pound units, F467M is the metric companion (1.3, Note 1)
- Dimensions to ASME B18.2.2 unless otherwise specified (7.1); threads Class 2B to ASME B1.1 (7.2)
- No additive chemical or metallic finish unless specified (8.2)
- Table 2: minimum hardness, minimum proof stress for hex and heavy hex nuts (heavy hex = 1.08 x hex), and marking per alloy
- Proof load governs acceptance where both proof load and hardness are tested (6.2); proof load per ASTM F606 (13.2.1)
- Lot up to 100 000 nuts (9.1); sample 2 / 3 / 5 / 8 by lot size, accept 0, reject 1 (10.1)
- Marking: manufacturer's symbol plus the Table 2 marking, raised or depressed (17.1)
- Supplementary requirements: S1 mercurous nitrate test for copper alloys (ASTM B154), S2 shipment lot testing, S3 dye penetrant (ASTM E165), S4 heat control for alloys 400, 405 and 500
